DISQUALIFICATION
Individuals
A player or participant shall be immediately disqualified from the ASA-USA-MSF Program for any of the following acts:
1. Failure to comply with the eligibility rules set forth in this guide.
2. Failure to exhibit required player identification upon request of the ASA-USA-MSF tournament director, game official or other ASA-USA-MSF representative.
3. Commission of fraud, such as playing under an assumed name, falsifying a roster, or giving false information to ASA u USA-MSF officials.
4. Conducting or participating in an unsanctioned invitational tournament.
5. Participating in the ASA-USA-MSF program against non-member teams.
6. Participating in a ASA-USA-MSF member league in which the game officials are not ASA-USA registered. (This requirement may be waived in extenuating circumstances by the ASA-USA-MSF State offices)
7. Unsportsmanlike conduct.
8. Engaging in a fight with an opponent carries a minimum one-year suspension. (Effective through the sport the player was disqualified from in the previous year.) (Throwing punches or kicks that fail to land still constitute fighting)
9. Verbal abuse of a game or tournament official or an opponent, results in a game/tournament ejection (subject to appeal) plus minimum one game suspension. Repeated acts carry an indefinite suspension.
10. Physically touching a game or tournament official results in a game/tournament ejection plus a minimum six game suspension. Repeated acts carry an indefinite suspension.
11. Physically assaulting (e.g. bumping, butting, striking, slapping, shoving, kicking, etc.) a game or tournament official or an opponent, results in a minimum one year suspension and likelihood of criminal penalties.

DISQUALIFICATION
Teams
A team shall be immediately disqualified from the ASA-USA-MSF Program for any of the following acts:
1. Failure to comply with the eligibility rules set forth in this guide.
2. Commission of fraud, such as playing under an assumed name, falsifying a roster, giving false information to tournament officials or wrongful sports community classification.
3. Conducting or Participating in an unsanctioned invitational tournament.
4. Failure to provide a 48-hour advance notice to the ASA-USA-MSF district or state office when forfeiting a tournament contest; or after a team has already played one or more games in the tournament and fails to immediately notify the tournament manager of intent to forfeit their next game. (Carries penalty of team/players ineligibility for tournament play the following year.) It is recommended that local softball communities impose a “72-hour” rule.
5. Participating in the ASA-USA-MSF program against non-member teams.
6. Participating in a ASA-USA-MSF member league in which the game officials are not registered.
7. Unsportsmanlike conduct.
8. Failure to exhibit team membership card or required player identification upon the request of the ASA-USA-MSF tournament director, UIC, game official or other ASA-USA-MSF representative.
9. Tendering non-sufficient fund or stopping payment on checks.
10. Causing damage to playing facilities, equipment or accommodations.

DISQUALIFICATION
Leagues
A league shall be disqualified from sending a team to a post-season ASA-USA-MSF tournament if they fail to meet the eligibility requirements outlined in this guide.

Sports Communities
A sports community shall be disqualified from sending a team(s) to a post-season ASA-USA-MSF tournament if they fail to meet the eligibility requirements outlined in this guide.

REINSTATEMENT
Suspensions shall be immediate and remain in effect until such time that the suspended party appears before the ASA * USA-MSF Sportsmanship and Eligibility Committee. Should the suspended party fail to appear the original suspension shall continue in effect until such time that it expires.
