How to Administer an ASA*USA-MSF League

The registration and administration of an ASA * USA-MSF softball league is very simple. Follow the below step by step process:
- Attend a J.O. softball meeting and pickup team membership materials.
All team membership materials (i.e. softball guides,
rule books, tournament schedule books, scorebooks, etc.) will
be distributed to the softball league directors at J.O. meetings
held each spring. Team materials are supplied for the number
of teams a sports community guarantees they will register. League
directors are responsible for distribution of materials to teams
participating in their sports community. League directors who
cannot attend are asked to send a proxy. It is important that
all leagues are represented. Again this year softball meetings
will be held in each district to encourage greater participation
and more efficient dissemination of team membership materials.
All meetings will be held on a weeknight so that members will
not be required to tie up their weekend. All J.O. meetings begin
at 8:00pm. Staff members from state office will be in attendance
to answer your questions and highlight the 2008 Sports Federation/ASA
* USA softball program.

Complete the team membership form completely with coaches names and addresses and forward with ASA * USA-MSF per team membership fee to ASA * USA-MSF offices by June 1.

ASA * USA-MSF Spring/Summer Team Membership
$20.00 per team - postmarked on or before June 1 $23.00
per team - postmarked after June 1
Forward all the teams regular season rosters (yellow copy of the
three part roster provided by ASA * USA-MSF) to ASA * USA-MSF offices
by June 1 or prior to 1st league game, National qualifier or sanctioned tournament.
ASA * USA-MSF will award your league post-season berths by June 10. The award form and fees must be returned to ASA * USA-MSF offices by June 25.
Distribute post-season tournament packets (draw, rules, map, etc.) and the championship roster (white copy of the three part roster) to the teams advancing from your league with the team number designated.
League Directors Deadlines to Remember
Failure to meet deadlines may result in exclusion from program and will result in late fees.
June 1 - Deadline for team membership forms & team membership fees to ASA * USA-MSF office.
June 1- Deadline for submission of regular season rosters to ASA * USA-MSF office. Note: Teams playing in National qualifiers or sanctioned tournaments prior to June 1 must have their roster on file with the MSF prior to participation.
June 25 - Deadline for payment of tournament entry fees to ASA * USA-MSF office.
