Welcome to the 2008 Season!

The MSF, which is the local association of the Amateur Softball Association in Minnesota, sponsors a Junior Olympic (J.O.) fastpitch and slowpitch program in 10-under, 12-under, 14-under, 16-under, 18-under and 23-under age divisions for all ability levels.

The eligibility rule for Class A 14-Under Junior Olympic Fastpitch has been changed to open to coincide with Class A 18 & 16-U thus giving Minnesota Junior Olympic Fastpitch teams a better chance to compete at ASAuUSA Nationals. ASA JO Rule Changes from 2007 ASA Council Meeting in Louisville, KY

Rule Changes

1. Rule 2 Section 1: Girls Fastpitch 18-U A from 40' to 43' (ASA adopted and adopted by the MN State Committee)

2. Rule 3 Section 1G: The bat barrel shall be free of audible rattles when shaken. The bat barrel shall not have signs of excessive wear.

3. Rule 5 Section 9A1: Fast Pitch: Add: 12 after 4 innings

4. Rule 5 Section 9A3: Slow Pitch: Add: 15 after 4 innings
